Collector and Emitter

Welcome to the digital collection of printed newsletters from the amateur radio clubs of central Oklahoma. These newsletters provide a great insight into the amateur radio community from the early 1970s to the early 2000s. These approximately 350 newsletters start in 1973 with the Mid Oklahoma Repeator Inc. (MORI) newsletters. The January 1974 newsletters of MORI and the Aeronautical Center Amateur Radio Club (ACARC) document the Central Oklahoma Radio Amateurs (CORA) group’s creation. The CORA newsletter took its name from the ACARC publication, and “The Collector and Emitter” was born.

CORA would edit, assemble, print, and distribute them to the individual club members. From February 1975, CORA produced issues every month, except January 1976, straight through until the CORA board voted to cease producing this paper newsletter on February 16th, 2002. The last printed issue was the February 2002 issue.

We are reformatting these documents and they will be available soon.
